The Swedish Research Council has decided to provide 3 years financial support for our proposal "Inclusive Gifted Education in Mathematics". This proposal is a collaboration project with our colleagues from Math Didactics under the lead of Professor Inger Wistedt. The aim of this project is to further our understanding of how mathematical abilities can be developed in novel ways within ordinary classrooms as well as in ICT settings where modern technology can be used to create and foster collaborative math-learning communities among high-ability students. The study adopts a dialogical approach to learning focusing on students’ communicative projects. The total budget for the project during the period 2008-2010 is 4,5 Million Swedish Crowns.
